That's a nice effect on the vaulting. Can you tell if the steel supports are painted that rust color, or is it a finish?

I think it's probably weathering steel. Also known as COR-TEN steel.

The steel is a special alloy, where the rust formed is 'stable'. So doesn't continue to rust/corrode.

It looks marginally better than before (though personally not a fan of the rust effect) but given how long it’s taken and the disruption to bus services and, at times, heavy traffic congestion, I’m not sure it’s particularly transformational. It’s still going to be a cold, exposed place to wait.

Dad always used to park along there, there was a row of parking meters on that road. I only discovered a year or so ago that it was the old coal depot, coal was discharged from the rail line above and distributed from there
