Look for presses that have published good books in your subfield recently. Go to the press website and see which editor acquires in your area. Contact those editors to

All you need is a short note explaining what your book is, how it fits into what the press does, and who you are. Example below.
STEP 3/3: Meet with editors 👇
Come ready to describe your book (What is your central question AND your answer? Why is it important? Who is the intended readership? How far along are you?). This is just a preliminary conversation so no need to get deep into the weeds here. Come with your questions!
