In my recollection Germany had this problem with pension policy outcomes already in the 1990s.

Yes, and there have been some reform. But they have recently been rolled back, new benefits introduced even. I think it’s getting worse.

Yes we’re are in deep shit, however the only party with a policy proposal on this issue (FDP) can’t bring itself to jump over its debt limit and which limits its ability to address all the other problems!
