Oh, now it’s not “history” it’s the “I’m going to play the philosopher’s” “taking sides”.
I find, when one side begs and complains for a peace deal making demands while it holds the other side’s citizens as hostages, I’m not siding with the kidnappers. That’s not in my set of values.
