I drive down M6 a lot. And the A1 only occasionally. I’m often struck by the profusion of s*x shops on the A1.

Are people who live east of Pennines hornier? Are there more truckers in Yorks keen to stock up on pvc & p*rn than in Lancs.
A mystery….but genuinely curious as to the reason.
