Out of curiosity, would you rate the 1999 movie of Mansfield Park at all? Just re-read the book for the first time this century & remember finding that adaption interesting at the time.

What a peculiar text. Found myself very much team Mary Crawford.

Now fantasizing a sequel where she & her sister travel the world, quipping. Probably they solve mysteries together.

Where is Ang Lee’s Sense & Sensibility? Including Clueless. Including a programme that hasn’t been aired yet. Including the awful Lizzie Bennet Diaries. Death Comes to Pemberley at number 4, really? Lost in Austen at 3. It just reads as someone with no interest in Austen cobbling an article together
