The common explanation as to how Nazism was able to rise in 1930s Germany seems to be that the steps towards it were too slow and gradual for anyone to notice until it was too late.

An alternative explanation is that about half the population are actually just fine with Nazis.

I’m hopeful the Qld Govt is not going down the same path as US states. Read the ministerial statement. It doesn’t use incendiary language and follows a problem with protocol at Cairns Hospital. However, withholding treatment is not justified.

Yep it’s actually been happening for quite a while just not in western countries - read the book when I was a teenager but couldn’t stomach the tv series knowing it wasn’t that far from the reality of a lot of women in the world…
