Albanese doesn't *think* Murdoch matters, he *knows*.

If it were not for Murdoch having to pretend some kind of opposition to the LNP, as a means of pretending that democracy didn't die in 1983, neither he nor the ALP would exist.

They are of no use to anyone except Murdoch.
