An interesting hire - decent but nothing 'wow' career as a player, similar as a manager (made the playoffs in 2020 and went 0-2...hmm, seems familiar somehow). As a manager he tended to steal a lot. Doesn't tell us anything about how he'd be in a front office, but interesting none the less.

That is an absolute HOME RUN hire! He is one of the smartest baseball minds I have seen, very knowledgeable, & very attached to the game. It is in his blood, & he is a dynamic player relations coach/personnel. He is a very good eye for talent too!!!
