Buddleia gets everywhere. It's insidious.
Yes, it has nice big purple flowers that's a magnet to butterflies, or it used to.
Back when I was a kid it deserved the name butterfly bush but I can't remember the last time I saw a butterfly on one in recent years.

That's the result of a massive decline in butterflies, bees and other insects. The butterfly bush is also a haven for bumblebees.

If you want to discourag bird activities in your garden. Plant a Laburnum. Every flower in may is poison the seed leaf sap are DEADLY.
So are tulips 🌷
