As a Christian, how does one defend the indefensible, you don't.
But I am reminded:
1: The Anglican people I know are the nicest people, are the most positive & determined to support society.
2: Christ rode towards the cross, not away from it. He tackled the injustice & a great faith was born.

The data shows that actually practising Anglicans are much more progressive. It’s people who don’t go to church, but identify as Anglican who aren’t.
