There are times when I'm glad my great uncle who saved me as a kid and raised me passed peacefully in his sleep in 2012 because... I don't want to know if he would've turned.

I find myself thinking a fair bit about the 18-21 year olds I’ve taught, some of them in ROTC. I worry what young people who signed up thinking they’d fight for freedom or just drive a truck for the college money will be asked to do.
I talked to Patterson students on Monday and was like... idk how to even give you job advice. The agencies you all wanted to work at are gone. The world you trained for lo longer exists.
Honestly, the only advice in life I’d give Patterson students is to find something bigger than the orange son of a bitch and his cronies and enablers and the stupid country that let it happen. God, your family, your gay polycule, idgaf. Something they can never have, whatever that is.
If you think it’s still possible to do good from the inside, you need a safeguard to stop you from “just following orders” if the time comes whether its answering to God on judgement day or having to look your kid in the eye when you tuck them in. If not, you wasted your life and need to cope.
