Outlines are a suggestion fr. One time I wanted a protag to be a businesswoman and somehow I turned her into a sheltered demon princess. 😭

Honestly, yeah, outlines are just suggestions most of the time. 😂

Wow! This is me. I’m doing it right now. I’ll probably go back to the outline for the last act, but the middle is pretty much pantsed.

I do a loose outline of major plot points, get halfway through a draft, then realize I’ve written myself into a new direction… so then I do a new loose outline for the last half. Highly recommend this approach. (Not!)

I always start outlining the major plots points, usually convinced that I’m writing a short story or something. As I fill it in with more plot points, and suddenly it’s neither short or going the way I planned. 😅
That’s why I need outlines—otherwise I’d keep writing myself into new directions! 😂
