The rest of the world wants to know as well. I hope that more writers (books, shows, etc) take this into account. The rest of the world doesn't exist only for "exotic" adventures.

I also wish scifi films & TV would stop equating the US with Earth—eg, invasion of Earth is equated with invasion of the US, 'humans in space' becomes 'Americans in space,' etc.
