One of my twenty-something kids just got transferred from one of the fancy extended-release ones (still under patent so still 💰 and thus available) to Adderall and I'm like, welp. Their whole friend group (most of whom don't have the insurance we have [for now]) has unfillable scripts.

Yeah, I got them to give me a scrip for a $50 for 30 fancy ER. Not covered by insurance, but it is available.

It didn't start this way, but the shortage is intentional now. I don't know averages, but a 30 day Rx went from well under to well over $100 here locally, and stabilized there.

For drug makers and the politicians in their employ, driving up the price of a in-demand generic is a feature, not a bug.
