Some years ago I designed some currency for my project. It's one of those world building elements that's really fun to dive into! Each of these designs are connected to rulers and cultural lore.

I think I saw this while trying to design my own currency and googling people’s ideas! I love the ideas you’ve proposed especially how you can easily tell without looking what you have due to the shape of things and how coins could be stacked or stringed like Finnish marks

Yeah it's very useful when wanting to count how much you own without publicly revealing them.
Additionally, the lowest currency has a hole so that it can be worn on a string; this serves a lot of uses.
