I run a spam blocklist and I've found those types of accounts give me plenty trouble after being added to the list. I always tell them that even if they're a real person, there's no way you followed 20k people in less than a week after creating your account. Most are reposts/content scrapers too.

Yeah. Regardless of if it's automated or not, it's still borderline spam. Most of them repost images from Facebook/Instagram/Pinterest or just generally have very low quality shovel level content like "repost if you like [whatever]" for engagement.

The other one I mute (not block) is the Furries one. They are generally wonderful people, but I have no desire for Fox hog in my discover feed.

Built moderation lets you warn or hide on content. I find it works really well.

Yeah, this list is for people that don’t properly label and the automated stuff didn’t use to catch a lot of furry content. This might be an early Bluesky issue, I haven’t tried unmuting it to see. Maybe I should.
