Go to the end of Cyberpunk.
Really, really liked the story until I didn't... my ending (just found out how many there were) just wasn't fun to endure to end.. but now want to maybe try another build/focus and see...
It took 41 hours... but 1 hour of that was just me trying to kill children.

I get it in terms of a DnD sense of crafting a character, but that’s not why I’m playing these games. I want the most effective ending for the story the writers are telling.
It does the complete opposite of immersing me in the world since I’m forced understand the system’s artifice to guide my character towards what fits best.
I did want a scripted "lone angry asshole" option where I murdered all my enemies and then left the mess for Johnny, though. He'd have understood.
It's also the only one where I get to run off with Judy. 💓
I'm not sure how far I'm in hours wise, I think it shows like 30-40% in the progression view though.
I still need to play the DLC though.
And if you came here to tell me playing for 41 hours wasn't playing the game or playing it wrong? Block. No mood for that
It's been great now until I installed the dlc... so no idea.
FFS! Can we not get at least 1 happily ever after?
Pretty sure video games don’t have to be as disappointing as real life!
It was the 15 minutes of hitting f and k to get there I hated.
It's a game best played on your own terms, to dig as deep as one pleases into the abundance of lore, setting, and distractions.
The DLC is considerably tighter.
Phantom Liberty is one of my favorite games ever.
Main plot was, yeah, up and down
You?
Fav tho is probably the Crucifixion one. As a cult survivor the level of conflicted I felt throughout it is so hard to articulate. Had to stop and take a walk after.
The ending is entitled "Don't Fear the Reaper" - I won't spoil anything, but definitely worth experiencing firsthand.
“one of DLC ending is a horror story for the player, Don’t Fear the Ripper is the horror story for the NPC”
Damn if that ending felt like I was blank
I’ll bet you missed out on chunky bits given how missions unlock.
Was the ending the one thing that bummed you or were you worn down before then?
And… what ending? :)
Imo it fell into the narrative design sins of forcing the player to do bullshit stuff to drive a point about the character/story and damaging the experience as a result. It was the last ending I tried though so it annoyed me less because of that I think.
If you enjoyed your playthrough and play style maybe it’d be worth just picking up from your last save and continuing missions, see where that takes you.
Yeah sounds like you got the short stick there
