Any drum machine fans out there? I most certainly am one... mainly classics. With my first paycheque from working with Ronan Keating back in the year 2000 I bought a TR-808 and have never tired of that sound. Gradually got a few more over the years and love them all.

I didn't warm to it TBH.

And yeah it's a little bit thin, the tr707. Still good for what it was but I wanted analogue oomph.
It's just nicer.
When I tried to copy Vincent's Depeche songs and Too Pieces (Yazoo) they were never the same...until I got the TR808.

Well, thanks for letting me talk about a drum machine for a moment..
I love my Korg Electribe ER-1 and that is most definitely not a cool vintage box 🤘
my fave = CR8000 with Analogue Solutions Mods (& thru an Alesis Bitrman pedal)... also have TR606, TR707, TR66, CR5000, Doncamatic, Keynote Mark XX, Alesis HR16, Yamaha MR10... and drum synths: Ult Sound DS4, MAM ADX1, Synare 3, Humdrum x3, Seak AD52, Tama TS206 x2, Space Drum..
I remember when the SR-16 came out everyone thought it was the dogs bollocks. I got the rackmount DM5 but lent it to some guy called Rick and never asked for it back 😂
Trying to get another back in my arsenal. Current list.
