My favourite for a few years was a Lo-fi delay in my modular synth, but currently it's the Boss RE202 space echo, "tape" delay which can be synced to tempo. Have to make myself not use it on everything.....

I get by on an old Zoom 505 for my bass(es). Love the way it clarifies the sound, and I can switch instantly to go from a rock to folk to jam band sound.

Coming from pedals to a modeler was a shift, and a massive investment in tone. I bought into the Neural for the long game - the updates and plugins. I am not disappointed at all. Once you figure it out, you can build virtually any tone.

I'm curious about some of the modeler setups. I've been doing a ton of stuff with virtual plugins on recordings, but started building out my effects with actual pedals now for a while. My only gripe is putting them together sometimes to travel, and how technical it can get for those with little time

I bought a Boss GT-1000 CORE to do a show earlier in the year. Impressive but ultimately utterly uninspiring. I think the Neural is on another level but it’s definitely a choice to commit… not sure I’m ready.

Can it do LFOs / envelopes etc connected to parameters for evolving sounds?

Yes to all. I bought the Mission Engineering SP-1 for this purpose. Assignments for delays, modulation, etc. are pretty easy in the QC.

I've heard that some players use two pedals simultaneously, assigned to different controls. I haven't played in that realm yet, but I'm interested.
