Usually expansion design is fairly conservative, but this project has been wild, and I've really enjoyed the challenge of figuring out what it means to "expand" Oath and to think about the places where the original design fell short of its ambitions.

I'll write more about this later, but one of the most fundamental elements here is the degree to which New Foundations expands the game's memory. It's like a little RAM upgrade. And it turns out that style of expansions has really dramatic implications for the kind of game it is and can be.

Not really. We've moved some of them to a company blog for older projects, but mostly they just live on the forums which is both a nice and horrible place for them.

Horrible mostly because when, in two years, someone asks "Hey where can I find your designer diaries?" I tell them to go to BGG, go to them game's forums, to look under "News" and sort by date.
