Iβm never bother organizing my cables when patched. My patches donβt last longer than a day or two and my next patch will be completely different. I have a few modules that are side by side and always hooked together with small 4β right angle cables and those tidy.
Wel Iβm the odd duck that composes everything with midi first so by the time I get to the modular Iβm just experimenting with sound to recordβ¦ or Iβm doing a jam for video which I complete in one session.
Pro-tip, if you're using braided cables, make sure you get the ones that are actually for cleaning pipes because they have little metallic pointy things that grab the braided jacket more effectively

Effective, easy to find, and cheap
They've always been my go to and they work great

The ones that are neat are for clocks and resets- I NEVER repatch those
The rest gets built up around those with random wires, but I'll then wrangle them and get them out of the way by tying them to the "permanent" ones
All with pipe cleaners π
