here's typical floor plan.

the project is incredibly efficient a floor plate of juts under 1,700 sf - with the stair being larger and partially communal space.

the flexibility is also great. can accommodate quite a bit of diversity in unit mix even on each floor. from (3) units, all the way up to a cluster apartment with 6 bedrooms.

combo of profilit (channel glass) w/ mass timber takes me back to projects i was working on in freiburg 20 years ago.

ground floor is a accessible apartment, car share, bike parking. car share operated by city.

it's a circular building. by a self-developed cooperative.

If Germany had French codes, this would have an elevator (because the stair could wind and therefore take up less space, and they’d offer a reduction in size down to 535kg or even 480kg because of the small floor plate)

Whenever I see a building like this I feel like that spongbob meme where Squidward is looking out the window in jealousy at those outside. You don't even have to look it up to know it's going to be located in Europe, probably Germany, France, or Spain. Wherever it is, you know it's not here.
