Yulok is a friendly form of the name Yulia. Yukari is called Yulia in this AU, so this is the same as the original Yukarichi and Yuka-tan.
Arkasha is a friendly form of the name Arkady. Arkady is Akihiko. It is equivalent to Aki in the original, but is used by almost all other characters, not just the "older trio".
"Jokes like that leave gaps in teeth" — a Russian proverb meaning an unsuccessful or provocative joke. Unfortunately, I could not find an English equivalent. Literally "don't joke like that, otherwise I will hit you".
