But they won't because you have their motivation wrong. Covering the White House brings them status and high pay and that is the media whores' primary motivation. It's why they are interested in politics but don't fight for a side. They are sold out careerists, i.e. whores.

Journalists need to go do some reporting (& get some critical thinking skills). They can learn more by interviewing a GS-8 for 10 minutes than they will from a decade of being in that room
