The reason I bang on about the NHS is that I have worked in it for 40 years
Over half it’s existence
I remember a time, not that long ago when the majority of things worked well
Something happened in 2010 that changed that
I am fighting for a collective memory & fight for a better future

2024 next time I voted for LibDems to get the Tories Out but couldn't stomach voting for turncoat Starmer. Country's crises continue, our NHS destroyed.
#SaveOurNHS
Huge investment, prompt out patient appts and procedures, easier GP access, lower ED waits, a happier workforce (we actually had a study budget) & a healthier population - now we have reversing life expectancies & shrinking children...
Patient care was prioritised and staff on the whole were treated well.
The sheer numbers of people leaving hospital medicine to join primary care training was huge and GP was the most competitive specialty.
Things actually worked and patient were actually seen and treated in secondary care.
NHS waiting lists fell
GP numbers were rising
But there was a cost - UK had to join the rest of developed world and spend on health proportionate to GDP
So what are Labour doing? More austerity. 🤦
The difference is funding and meddling by politicians
The Kings Fund
Defense (oh magically that is done)
Aid (also done)
Health
Education
Welfare
No government to meddle. Agree how it's set.
