Thank you for that. We did find this and it was also my personal experience 16 years ago. Undiagnosed #Endo for decades. The wheels fell off the cart in my 40s.

Interesting. However, the blurred lines between 'Autism' and 'ADD/ADHD' often exclude many shared experiences & health of those who are autistic, ADHD, and both. This transfers to top down & bottom up issues: policy, health care, research, clinical therapy, and, especially, primary education. 1/2

This was obvious before DSM-5. We call it a "Spectrum" but perception is a linear line. This can have far-reaching impact esp children. People compartmentalize the 2 in boxes & refuse to consider they overlap. Both run in my family often concurrent & complicated our lives to point of dysfunction.2/2

I’m curious if they’re going to do another research on this, because I am a 46 year-old autistic, perimenopausal woman, and…😫 most days I can barely function.

Would be interested if there's overlap with women with ADHD. Daughter is ADHD (w/ aphantasia), starting menopause early 40's and still struggles with it at 46. Drs. have no idea how to help w/ symptoms, suggesting they are psychosomatic.

Yes we did mention #ADHD. It’s one of the top self-reported co-existing conditions with autism. Peri is the new ‘hysteria’ and gaslighting is commonplace.
