I’m reading Kjell Askildsen who you mentioned on here and I really love it. It reminds me of Jon Fosse, Clemens Meyer. It’s inspired me to start writing my new book. I think I like art where I think, I can do that (not that I can). Same as movies. No special effects. Hand held camera. I’m there.

I first read the trilogy at school. My brother's copy (he's a priest). A classmate asked me if I was studying Triology (a progression from Biology?).

I reread them during the pandemic while I was living in a hotel room with my family during a home renovation and recovering from an Achilles rupture.

This new edition is nice. Pocket sized but print is not small and paper is bright. Good travel edition I reckon.

I reread trilogy last year. Molloy is one of my favourite novels ever. The unnamable is wild. Malone Dies I never enjoyed much before. At 40 it’s a whole different thing - so sad and often dazzlingly beautiful. We saw Conor Lovett perform it in London last year and he really brought it to life.

Yeah if you get to see his trilogy do not miss it. Saw it first at IMMA during the Beckett centenary in 2006, was great to see it again after nearly 2 decades.
