Fader3 is kinda utilitarian, whereas the Roli Lightpad is great for sound design when I need to control 8 multitouch params at once in 3 axes. I wrote this app for it that offers two XYZ pads and an XZ pitchbend strip (sideways & pressure!) and an alt mode for easy mapping
