Indeed. And that is the problem. You can use it to make oil, gas and coal look more important than they are, and that's about it. So why the eff we keep producing the damn thing is beyond me.

We need to know where we are on the transition & rate of change to see where the stimulus of further change needs to be. In 1900, what was the proportion of gas stations to blacksmiths in the US. What was it in 1920, 1940... 1960? We saw coal generation disappear in the UK in 30 years, what's next?
