You say that. But a poll just in the UK of GenZ says they do. Nearly 50%. It’s f’ing wild. I’d bet there’s a large portion of Americans that would be fine w/ it. They voted for Trump. Or didn’t vote.

Some polls also said trump would loose the election. What’s the science? How many were questioned? What were the questions? I out no stock in polls these days.
I don’t know. It’s a UK poll and they discussed it on @podsavetheuk.bsky.social . Polls were wrong about Brexit too but incels and far right thinking and anti woke and anti everyone but white men feelings are increasing.
Polls can be easily used to manufacture consent. If a poll hasn't been repeated by multiple different unaffiliated professionals, it's not reliable. Pretty easy to just have a few loyal people in top brass of the Office for National Statistics.
That study doesn't appear to exist. Every article says "A study" and then links it to a website called "The Standard" which has no explanation of their research methods, sample selection, controls, etc.
The anti-intellectualism of American culture is not a coincidence. Rich people have been very deliberately defunding public education, preventing the DOE from improving our education model, spreading anti-intellectual propaganda and disinformation, etc.
Sounds completely insane, i know. Sounds like a cooked conspiracy theory. But holy shit Trump is literally trying to destroy the entire DOE and local plutocrats are literally openly trying to make all k-12 schools private schools, using tax payer money.
Well I live in Indiana and you can absolutely use tax payor funded public education dollars and send your child to a private Christian school. They call them vouchers.
No I mean they are completely underfunding schools everywhere. When we lived in WA state they were fining one school daily because they were sorely underserving their students. The poorer schools of course always have issues. And this is a blue state.
Damn that is textbook poverty trapping. It's like assigning more parking meter cops in a poor area downtown. They're just explicitly trying to keep people poor.
Gaming and anime environments starting talking against social justice warriors and wokeness in their spaces that felt into this trap. I like strategy games but I left the discussion spaces because many people feel they're modern age crusaders. Keyboard crusaders is the best they can do.
Yeah I don’t understand that. Living in one of the 13 colonies states and reading up on that history, this democracy didn’t come easy and almost didn’t happen in so many ways. Ppl shouldn’t take that for granted.
I’m sure. The UK is small in comparison but it goes further - that women are given too many opportunities, that white men are being discriminated against. That equity has gone too far. Again, just echoing this DEI is overboard nonsense. They admire Andrew Tate. They are incels in the making.
I am going with defeatist post making it seem like we have no power. I don't care if its 10% of then population..I will do everything in my power to resist.
I work on an intensely STEM-focused college campus in the USA and have daily rounds in the dorms. The amount of Bible verses and MAGA/incel adjacent pictures, stickers etc they plaster on doors, walls makes me so angry. These are 95% white privileged 17 & 18 year olds
It’s a state university but the amount of Bible verses they write everywhere is almost unbelievable to me. I went to a Jesuit university and I NEVER saw that type of performative piety there. These kids’ conversations are full of profanity and many of them openly disparage girls and women
They are coming up in a world with no hope, and with a majority of other generations having 0 idea of how to relate to them. What speaks volumes (particularly to the young men) are anger, violence, and power. All 3 are promised by this Trump administration; The 1’s actually indoctrinating the young
This is why when people tell me I'm breaching my teenage son's privacy for my occasional phone checks, I tell them to fuck off. I'm not looking to get him in trouble; I'm looking to make sure he's not dipping his toe into the propaganda (and that he's having respectful interactions).
Which is why for the time being, Dems need to drop the polite antiquated version of politics they love, and become angry populist politicians. If young voters do not find them appealing, if their message does not resonate, we are doomed. Dems are failing this moment.
It’s hard to be strong in messaging when you are supposed to be the party of the people but many of them still bow down to major corporate donors, lobbyist, and Super PACs. The Dems you see doing the populist things are Bernie, AOCs, and others without corporate donors, but are labeled too extreme.
I don’t think the right thinks Bernie is extreme. If Dems took a training class with him on messaging, they could defeat republicans in a land slide. They just won’t do it. I come from an insulted blue state and I hate my Dem senators. They are weak, and out of touch. Been in office decades.
Exactly. Bernie and AOC are populist candidates, because their message resonates with what working class people FEEL. Corporate dems are too far removed from the middle class, thus they cannot come up with authentic messaging that resonates. Hence why I will be giving them hell the next two years
By their own party and of course the GOP. No one is risking their wealth for the people, it unfortunately goes beyond party lines. That’s why the messaging by the Dems has been impossible to balance between the progressives and the establishment Dems.
From the London Times: The findings from the polling company Craft form part of a Channel 4 report, Gen Z: trends, truth and trust, which will be published at a Royal Television Society event on Thursday. They were based on a sample of 3,000 adults of all ages. - It’s all over the UK news.
The population of the UK is 68.35 million. But really, are you lying about being a Political Science major? You absolutely need to take statistics to get a political science degree.
Sure. I’m not there either. We used to be but we’re back in the states. But that podcast keeps us informed and Nish Kumar is part of the duo who leads it. He’s very funny and very knowledgeable. They have lots of great guests on. I’d say they lean pretty left. Part of the Pod save America group.
I work with Trump supporters. They’re ignorant/undereducated and/or selfish and don’t think/care about things they believe won’t impact their own lives. They believe a failed businessman and grifter/his rich cronies are going to be good for the economy. It’s mind blowing. Just voting won’t save us…
Because they want someone who agrees w/ them. That they are losing out - to immigrants, losing job opportunities to women and minorities, that their lack of direction is caused by other ppl being treated equitably. It’s a zero sum game to them. Giving to one leaves less for them.
I learnt as a teacher most kids don't want think, they want to be told what to do. Mental effort seems much harder than physical effort. Is this what we are seeing now, people don't want to do any thinking, hence the willingness to believe and follow someone who's taken the thinking out for them.

I am now very convinced it's just bullshit.
Might actually be a poll, survey. Whatever u want to call it.. I don’t know. I didn’t report it.
That's it?
It's very plausible to assume this poll was fraudulent, but 3000 people is more than enough.
