I think I have overused that image both here and for 15 years on Twitter - it just stands in for every fight in which all sides are a problem. "Monster fight," in other words (I'm not really getting into the specifics of each character)
Ok, I understand *intellectually* the idea of overusing this image, but...I mean, it's like a nice tablecloth, it just feels appropriate for any occasion.
Agreed. The original one looks like an old newspaper photo. The other ones look more like Mattel commercials or something. Don't have the same gravitas
Oh man! I really hope they choose Godzilla. I mean, he's bad, but at least he's anti-American & able to work in a team to accomplish some things, whereas King Ghidorah has already destroyed one civilisation. Better the antediluvian reptile you know, I feel.
You mean are you wasting a quality photo on them? Mmmm. Fair question, yet I can't help but think Godzilla elevates any event Godzilla attends. As in: if something wasn't serious & noteworthy before Godzilla arrived, it *definitely* becomes serious after Godzilla gets there.
Based on looks, Thielmann is DEFINITELY Mothra. However, attributing Godzilla to Estey by default gives her too much credibility, as Godzilla is the ultimate spokesmonster for climate and nuclear disaster. King Ghidorah works for Rustad, as you never know which of the three heads is speaking truth.

It just makes me laugh every time
Awesome.
In the race for party president, which one is Aisha Estey and which is Tim Thielmann?
