It's kinda more than a conspiracy theory. Last "flip" was 780,000 years ago but average is 300, 000 years ... https://www.usgs.gov/faqs/it-true-earths-magnetic-field-occasionally-reverses-its-polarity ... so I think the fact it's a lot late is of concern
