US ambassadors have been instructed to attack "DEI". Economic threats over abortion rights is just another reason to have a hard divorce from the US which is an abusive partner.

There's nothing in their constitution stopping them having European style laws to stop hate and harassment.

I've found American culture is very technologically advanced but macho and social and emotionally immature, and men can be very brains on rails. It's really quite a shock when you come up against it and realise how different they are.

I get a strong sense that Trump's administration depends on the noise and provocation they're at pains to create.

Dont know what economic consquences might be. But there are a no of excellent MPs (from several parties) who simply won’t let any threat to abortion rights happen. On this issues ar least the UK is still a democracy.
