Despite both measures receiving approval from a majority of the state's voters (over 57% and nearly 56%, respectively) they both failed because FL requires 60% to pass. Too close for comfort for DeSantis, who spent large amounts of public money and other resources to defeat the measures.
Of course, because its their way or the highway. They used taxpayer funds to campaign against the marijuana and abortion amendments last year and now they want to do more to silence what the voters want
Ron and many in the Florida legislature need more education. Not propaganda or indoctrination, but facts and proven information. Also, they need to remember that they are servants of the citizens that elected them.
They lied endlessly in a saturation TV campaign about both amendments. Florida’s amendment 4 does not allow children to get abortions without consent. And they built a coalition with smoke shops selling delta8 kratom and hemp to stop the safely regulated sale of real natural weed.
