If “admin is forcing” AI on you, I offer you advice from one of my favorite colleagues: “Never go out of your way to make your manager’s bad idea work.” I also offer you the courage with which she said that to me, her manager at the time.

I also don't want to hear "it's admin forcing it on us" because yeah, but often times it's frontline LIS workers eagerly lapping genAI up too. These presentations, they're not aimed at admin but regular LIS people. Most of the initiatives I see are coming from non-admin.
