I know a few. Usual caveats about small sample sizes but: Christian Nationalism is a big plus, Anti-foreign aid agenda, Lax climate policy, better gun selection... These are the most common themes. The same kinda of things that appeal to full red hat MAGA types.

I think D leadership here is largely simply not up to this moment, quite honestly. Almost none of them, save for a few, are doing or saying anything their consultants didn't tell them was prudent. People are struggling with, "It is up to us now, isn't it?" because they feel that betrayal too.

I would think bad news only in the short term, before the economic effects become obvious. There appears to be a temporary pause for the auto industry, but when the tariffs take effect, the auto industry will be untenable. Other industries will be similarly crippled.
