Many leading Nazis were vehemently anti-Christian though, and Rosenberg and Himmler even had a Germanic paganism thing going. Hitler himself despised Christianity as a religion fit only for slaves.
But the vast majority of the German population was Christian, had been taught by The Church that Jews were evil, and did not see any reason to object to the Holocaust.
