Agreed. I’m not sure if VAR being in effect would have given it though as (and I may be wrong here) they’re not supposed to intervene unless the ref makes an error. He’s not given anything, as he’s not seen it as it’s off the ball, so there’s nothing for them to ask him to review.

This one is totally off the ball though. It’s not a sporting incident that the ref could have missed. The ref will be looking where the ball is, there’s no VAR…that’s been done intentionally, 100%. Knew he’d get away with it. Shame one of the linos didn’t catch it
