The RTO for the greater FDA was pushed to Monday. This is where our friends and fellow workers will be placed. Fucking shit ass full of traffic non secure no electricity having hallways and lobbies.

Its petty mindfuck games. Channel your inner e4 mafia, you can get through it.
Also, any chance you checked the building occupancy code?
And extension cords plugged into powerstrips may violate even GsA standards...
Along with improperly laid and secured extension cords being a hazardous reportable
"Cord- and plug-connected equipment and flexible cord sets (extension cords) which remain connected once they are put in place and are not exposed to damage need not be visually inspected until they are relocated."
Nifty unprotected extension cords they have there. Hopefully everybody brings space heaters, fans, coffee mug warmers, some microwaves, a fridge or six...
Plug all the extension cords into 1 power strip and then plug the power strip into 1 wall socket x 2. Don’t ask me how I know this will melt things and make smoke and smell really bad.
Remember why this is happening. The beatings will continue until we quit. These people are abusing us. They don’t have to but they are. When we quit, they win. We have to make them do this “downsizing” properly and legally. Hold the line. Stay strong. Stand up. Fight back. ❤️
I wondered where all the overflow would go. Probably also all the common space ( we had a beautiful area at the end of 52. ) and all the conference rooms.
Efficiency is just what they’re saying out loud. It’s time to stop asking how is this sufficient and start asking? Why does this help them. What goal will this achieve and why do they want that goal.
And I just keep reading about plans to sell gov buildings. So have people RTO but planning on selling buildings that they work in? It really is a head spinning time.
Yes I believe you are correct. Friend works at HHS has to return to office lives over 50 miles so she should be remote. But they adjusted the distance so she has to RTO
FIRE hazard needs to be inspected prior to RTO. Unless nobody needs computers.
Industry is gonna be delighted to have you working in shopping mall like conditions so all their proprietary information is just hanging around. God forbid you have to speak on the phone.
I’d also like to point out in case people don’t know that the main campus was built for a hybrid workforce because they’ve been teleworking for 10 to 20 years in some cases. So if you see overflow it’s not because of government bloat but because our campus is literally not built for it.
Stay strong, HQ brethren, field offices and more. We may wish that the OPM email had never come, and we may wish the elimination of telework didn’t either, but we can stand together (sometimes more literally) and make strong decisions with the careers we’ve chosen.
As a remote OC employee, I’ve been assigned to some site that doesn’t have an occupant guide, and will be having folks from OC, CVM, CTP, HFP, CDER, and more all in one conference room.
To be fair, it’s a controlled access building, and the conference room is temporary.
But it’s inconvenient as hell, I should be assigned to something downtown, and if I’d know I’d have to report to this location, I wouldn’t have left my job at my previous agency.
This is terrible. Also, ..wondering if this is why we aren't receiving replies or read receipts from our bi-weekly Submissions update emails. This is a mess, I'm enraged for you guys.
Punishment and browbeating. Who does this serve? Not billionaires, not the people. Only Putin.
hollowed out institutions and civil strife weakens us for the next round.
Plus the internet doesn't work. During the "return 2 days per pay period" time, I tended to consider my two days at WO sacrificial days where I may do nothing due to having no access, unlike my reliable WFO internet.
Grosssssss. At least I have an office to go to on Monday at my center. Not looking forward to it but a door I can close is a luxury at this point. Although I’m across from the restroom and next to the breakroom 😒.
Hey, do me a favor and put a post in each bathroom stall that says keep your head up. Wear your gloves when you make them so there’s no fingerprints. :)
It may seem like this is just a tiny action in the face of such corrupt brutality, but attitude is everything, and knowing the hearts of others, even if you don’t know who they are will make you braver
That will be lovely for those that make it out of their cars.
There's 1.8 employees for every parking space. A significant number of people will never be able to park. Even if they block all the fire lanes on the access road.
Is this something that can be crowdsourced? Free rides, carpooling, parking at nearby neighbors — idk the space but if I were nearby I’d be happy to help w/ that; maybe others will w/some creative planning. To ease the burden & show workers are not alone. Community is important against control.

As the Canadians are saying "elbows up"
Please hold the line

"Adapters which interrupt the continuity of the equipment grounding connection may not be used."
So anything that is 2 prong at the wall: https://www.amazon.com/3-prong-2-adapter/s?k=3+prong+to+2+prong+adapter&utm_source=chatgpt.com
The goal is to make it miserable to work so people quit.
Less people will also make the FDA less productive and more expensive to provide service overall.

That should be fun.

This is a tactic. Environmental control and psychological abuse.
Strategies like:
Loss of Professional Dignity
Sensory Overload
Deprivation of Privacy & Autonomy
Restricted Access to Resources
Humiliation
