Using BlueSky for a few days, I must say I like the way they handle the handle of users a lot. Just by looking at it you can see, many informations about what the users wants to show 🧵

For example:
- By looking at the TLD you can easily detect Developers (.dev) or Streamers (.live)
- Some groups may use a domain to show that they belong together (https://swifties.social)
All this is enabled by the AtProtocol (https://atproto.com). For me it seems like the perfecy way to implementing user-handles. Many more services should look into it how to implement it.

If Github would allow domains as a handle there would have been more options for me. Even Organizations could give out these handles to employees
