Friendly reminder that BMI was made up by an astronomer in the 1800s and we've just been treating it as scientific fact for centuries. Under scrutiny, there is very little to no actual evidence linking body mass or weight alone to increased health risks for most people.

I had a doctor who told me that my blood pressure was in cardiac crisis numbers (she didn't have a cuff bigger than 24in). Put me on a medication that basically destroyed my health. I went and-
