I was afraid it would be something like that, I hate that they aren't even offering to help. But yeah... yeah no I definitely understand the hurt of having to have the animals categorized like that. Boiling them down to "worth" when that cost is invaluable.

I'm so confused about why they haven't posted about the recall on their pages, except for the initial lots weeks ago. Is it because the new cases in WA were from the already recalled lots? On the state's page it seems like additional lots were affected. They are handling this so badly, it's crazy.

Part of why I did commercial raw was because it allowed me to feel better about getting the proper nutrients for cats, specifically. Years ago I used to mix taurine powder and other vitamin powder into meat I sourced. It's weird to think if I feed raw again (post bird flu)it's safer to do that.

Pet food companies are always only in it for the money. Any "benefits" they purport are often at best anecdotal, at worst entirely false. Pet food is MASSIVELY unregulated. The only food I recommend is "AAFCO approved" sans rx diets. I'm sorry they victimized you and yours in such a way.
