I feel like I deny my introverted ass the social aspects of art too much. I'm challenging myself lately to comment more often, so I can actually share my thoughts and hype up my fellow artists beyond just a like or share

Yeah, everytime I enter this app I prioritize the mutuals feed and try to answers as many peeps as I can, it takes a bit to get used too, specially having to fight the urge of "am i bothering this person?"
On that same journey 😭 , I'm so caught up in the idea of annoying other artists!! The worry of scaring off moots and artists by being *too* supportive!
I can relate to overthinking! I don't want to just hit everyone with the "This is awesome!" like a broken record (even if it is), so sometimes I struggle to describe my feelings in a more eloquent way while staying genuine.
Getting positive comments is always a treat though, for sure :)
But I also want to look for a space or peers where I can just bounce ideas, give/receive critiques and just kinda push eachother to improve and have fun. I have seen art servers like this but they generally don't allow NSFW 🥲
It definitely takes some effort to leave genuine comments that aren't just blanket "good stuff!", but having people tell you that the comment made their day better or affirmed something they went for in the drawing is a good motivator for sure!
Exactly! I love being on the receiving end of those kinds of comments, so I'm putting in more effort to give the same treatment to the art(ists) I love :)

Still, it is a nice feeling getting comments - so only fair I dole out more too!
