if u wanted to get into game dev but felt that the math was too intimidating and u really like those pannenkoek mario code breakdown videos then may i suggest just downloading a game engine and giving it a shot?

I think it isn't necessary but it helps to understand mathematical concepts. You rarely have to actually do calculations, just apply understanding. I was always hit or miss at actually solving on paper problems but that's a different skillset to understanding how a problem is solved in theory.

I too probably have undiagnosed dyscalculia struggling with plain numbers, but have no problems devving since it's all *real* math - no arithmetic, just relations.

Not to mention what math is there im usually has someone out there explaining it or is super simple stuff that can be plugged into a calculator. There's not much math in the first place! ^-^
