This is purely my hypothesis and lacks evidence. I suspect that politicians lack of action on homelessness is just an extension of the punitive exercise of using unemployment to motivate us to be good little worker drones. Behave, or lose your job and maybe even your home. It's a political choice.

The media isn’t failing us, they are private companies with their own agendas. Politicians are failing us by not regulating them properly and as a result are either beholden to them or frightened of them.

In the UK, the two parties that take turns at power in Westminster have no incentive to address the UK's gross inequality - they can get their turn without having to do much about this. First reform Westminster.
