I don't know about outright "destroying" the UK, perhaps that may be a bit of an exaggeration, but it ain't good for the obvious reason of trussonomics/IEA/Atlas-addled nonsense. I believe that this was tried before and it was detrimental to places that did so. Very bad for democracy though.

What they seem to be thinking, is that if they just go all in with deregging, it'll magically make us as successful as the BRICS have been for economic growth. Won't work because companies have more people to exploit where they are, its more profitable for them to stay put.

I hate to disagree Richard but half way in you’re wrong about wealth transferring into these cities, it will go straight into offshore tax havens. They’re just a conduit for tax avoidance!
