I have watched so much British TV that, without thinking, I asked my husband if he wanted chips, but I really meant fries, & then I was confused why he didn’t want any chips (still picturing fries) until I realised what I did 😭

I have been weaned on classic British TV, watched so much of it that my natural accent is a posh BBC English, which is funny considering how broke and opposite-of-British high society I am
If I ever start speaking with a posh English accent, considering I’m born & raised in Canada, I think that would definitely be the day I should stop watching TV 😅
😅 He did think it was funny after I realised what I did & explained myself. He wasn’t as amused that time he almost cut his finger off with a saw & I offered him a tea with extra sugar (which seems to solve everything on Brit TV!) 🫣
