Ok but it did get the Scottish government it voted for 100% of the time, and which has a lot of devolved power. 60% of trade is with rest of UK, vs 40% of UK trade with Europe. So leaving would be 1.5x worse than Brexit.

You are right. The Feb 74 election is the only exception. It lasted till Ocbober 74 when England voted Labour. I didn't think it was worth complicating things for 7 months of relative democracy in 65 years!

I'd love to see Scotland independent in my lifetime. But I'm from the older end of Gen X, and I'm not sure I'll live to see it. But for my daughter and my grandson's sake, I will fight for it as long as I'm able to. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
