The breaks are good as you say and with informed strategy/planning (and paid expert advice probably like any other business) can be used well. Better ratios will help pay for that help.

If we can stop the IHT avoidance then farm values will come back down to more realistic levels which helps the farmers. They’re pissed at the wrong people and need better ratios between earnings and farm values back. This inflation does not help them.

I’m afraid this is true. It just is a very hard sell to say to people who can’t afford rent and bills and food to be outraged that IHT is payable on farms worth millions. Agricultural land values are part of the problem driven up to £9k per acre plus prob by wealthy using it for IHT avoidance!
